Berkeley Bob's Foreign Auto Repair is Open During Shelter In Place
We are open for business and have just recently reopened our front office. After 5 months of providing no contact service, customers are welcome to come inside again. You can now enter the office enclosure and interact safely with our office staff. We are still unable to accommodate “wait” appointments; we will let you know when we can do so safely. We are doing as much as we can to limit the chances of exposure.
While we understand many are still sheltering in place, working from home and waiting out the pandemic others are returning to work outside the home, to school and in general venturing outside more. Taking public transportation is still a risk and is not hygienically safe. Your own personal automobile remains your best transportation option. So if you’re one of the many who have sidelined your car in favor of ride shares, buses or BART it may be a good time to schedule an appointment to bring it in to see if a little TLC is in order.
We are taking extra precautions when cars are in for a visit; routine use of steering wheel and gear shift protectors, sanitizing vehicle contact areas and in addition, all our employees wear masks while operating the vehicles. As always our technicians use a fresh set of latex gloves while working on your vehicle. We continue to follow CDC guidelines and continue to sanitize any hard surface that comes in contact with our customers, outside business partners and staff. These services are not limited to but include the counter, credit card terminal, telephones, door knobs, toilet and faucet handles. This is done routinely and frequently.
As specified in the Covid-19 CDC Reopening America guidelines we do require all who enter the office space to do so wearing a cloth face covering. We have installed a large Plexiglas shield at the counter to further safeguard all interactions. For your safety there is hand sanitizer available at the counter. Also we ask that customers space themselves 6 feet apart, typically this means only one customer in the office at a time. Whether you are dropping off, picking up or just have a question we look forward to welcoming you in person once again.
