National Automotive Professional Certification Group partners with famous woman technician
Bogi Lateiner, American auto technician, small business owner, technical educator and reality television personality and star of “All Girls Garage” has been contracted by ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) to help promote testing and attract more people to join the industry.
The partnership is scheduled to launch in July at the ASE Training Conference in North Carolina. Conference attendees are expected to include high school and college instructors and will have the opportunity to meet Lateiner at the event.
Lateiner has 10 years experience working as an industry management instructor and co-creator of “Girl Gang Garage” a program that trains women looking to enter the automotive industry. A very busy lady indeed, in addition to hosting her television show Lateiner also produces a podcast called “With her Two Hands”.
She is a huge promoter of women in automotive repair, consistently recruiting and recognizing women for their accomplishments within the industry. So it’s only natural she would partner with ASE, a professional certification group that certifies professionals and shops in automotive repair. They started 50 years ago in response to consumers who needed to distinguish between potentially incompetent and competent auto technicians.
Ms Lateiner is a big fan of ASE and their testing and sees the certifications as a kind of doctorate degree in automotive repair. She also thinks her customers appreciate her shops effort to continue their education and a way to show their pride in their craft. She is honored to help spread the word about all ASE does to help shape the industry and you can bet her focus will be to encourage more female automotive talent to seek ASE certification.
