Heard about the Barnacle? It’s a device that is quickly making the boot obsolete. The boot has been used in the Midwest and on the East Coast as a driving deterrent for non-ticket paying drivers. Attached to the car’s wheel the boot restrains the wheel from rotating and forces the car to be towed away rather than driven. The Barnacle attaches to the car’s windshield with two pumps and it’s deters driving by obstructing the drivers view of the road. The device is impossible to pull off as it resists hundreds of pounds of pulling pressure. Also a siren will blare if someone attempts to drive the car with the device installed.
The Barnacle is user friendly. Just call the phone number on the device, pay the outstanding tickets and you’re given a magic code which unlocks the Barnacle. The driver then leaves the unlocked Barnacle on the sidewalk to be retrieved by parking enforcement. The need for the car to be towed at the owner’s added expense is eliminated; the parking violation gets paid quick, costs the driver less in money and time because there is no need to retrieve the car at the tow yard. The device folds flat and can be easily stowed in parking enforcement vehicles. Easily fit onto the violator’s car alleviating the need for officers to unsafely lie down in the road in all types of weather. Just unfold, apply and pressurize.
The Barnacle is a win for everyone!
